We remain dedicated to three aspects of philanthropy: sisters helping sisters through Tri Delta’s Foundation, our commitment to changing the way the world treats and defeats childhood cancer through our work with local and regional children’s hospitals and pediatric cancer initiatives and through our national partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

A message from our director of philanthropy, Emerson

"Philanthropy plays a central role in everything we do at UNC Tri Delta. In 2025, our chapter raised $85,271 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, supporting its mission to treat and defeat childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Donations help fund groundbreaking research, cover the cost of patient care, and provide families with travel, housing, meals, and emotional support during treatment — all at no cost to patients and their families. Nationally, Tri Delta is proud to be one of St. Jude’s top four fundraising partners, having raised over 100 million dollars through our 25-year partnership.At UNC, we support this mission through major fundraising events like Frats at Bat, Sincerely Yours, $30K in a Day, and the Parents Weekend Silent Auction. Each of these events brings our chapter together to support St. Jude in meaningful and memorable ways. We also stay engaged with our local community. In the spring, we host Delta House of Pancakes (DHOP), with all proceeds benefiting the UNC Children’s Hospital. In the fall, we co-host the BBQ Cook-Off with Phi Gamma Delta, raising funds for the Chapel Hill Fire Department. This spring, we were proud to win Greek Groove for the second year in a row, raising money for the UNC Eating Disorders Program and celebrating our chapter’s passion for service, creativity, and community involvement.As the Director of Philanthropy, getting to attend the St. Jude Tri Delta Leadership Conference and visit the St. Jude campus in Memphis was an incredibly inspiring opportunity that deepened my connection to our mission. Hearing directly from patients, families, and doctors reminded me of the real impact behind everything we do. I love how our philanthropy brings our chapter closer together while giving back in ways that truly matter. I’m excited to keep that energy going, introduce creative new events and ideas, and involve our community as we work to reach our goals and set new fundraising records."
